7) "Harima multi-media school Culture Festival". VTR
1. Intention : As the part of the Opening Festival of Harima Science Garden City, we have announced the summary of the "Harima local history by kids" activity and had panel-discussion for the more development of the new-information society in Harima area with integration of Government, Commerce, School and Public.

(1) The opening movie
The interview movie of the representative in the various fields which leads new information-society in the western Harima area.

(2) Opening Speech
Koizumi family, participant of "the Internet experience seminar for the parents and the child", made opening Speech and feeling of the seminar.
(3) Long distance information exchange by the B-ISDNBy network connection between Sonobe Information Center (Sonobe-cho, Kyoto) and The Center for Advanced Science & Technology HYOGO; Large hall (Harima Science Garden City), 14 students of Sonobe Elementary School and 19 students of Harima-kogen Elementary School exchange informations and friendship.
It shares a characteristic and a specialty of the town in the quiz form, exchange the sign language of "becoming a friend" each other, read poem "Living" of Mr. Syuntaro Tanigawa in the group and sing a song of "Like the blue sky" together.
The students of the Harima-kogen East Elementary School were a little tense due to the a lot of audience, but they exchange friendship with harmonious atmosphere.
(4)"Harima local history by kids ~ Kids reporter group ~ " experience announcements and the awards ceremony
Under the friendly moderation of Mr. Hiroshi Wasaki, General Secretary of Harima Internet Research Association, teachers and students of participant schools introduce their works of the home-page on the screen of the hall with the comments and experience like "the fact to have been delightful", "the fact to have been troubled" and so on.
It awards to the activity of each school also to the local volunteers who have cooperated with the home page development with best regards.

Opinions ware raised that the becoming-organization will be necessary to continue it and to develop it since this is a beginning of the networking with Commerce, Government, Schools and Public to produce becoming information-oriented western Harima Area with this activity.

The " Culture Festival, it was very exciting. In the panel discussion, I felt that it is very important to continue and to develop because of difficulty.
And I felt that the key station will be necessary to establish the integration of Government, schools and public.

"For me, it was very quick to be in 3 hours among . It is truth that I was lost what I was doing. Whatever it was, I was impressioned that it was very good to do it because I met many smiling faces of participants. And it was supported by faithful volunteers coming trough mailing list. I would like thank to them sincerely.
I believe the children who were gathered to CAST yesterday got something to their mind. Then, for the teachers and us, it is a chance to be "connection". It is still a thin thread but let`s raise this in the thick network.
Then Harima will be proud of area through education, surely upholstering a bound mouth with the chest.
October 11th is the birthday of the high (good) sensitivity city, Harima. "

It was surprising for me that the event met schedule every minute. It was possible to have spent a delightful day which was a little tensed for children.
It was good for communications with Sonobe Elementary School. It was the one of the B-ISDN power. It might be a little hard for children to perform a program in the limited time but it will be excellent that the communication will be like this event their ware pictures, music, quick exchange, failure. It might be not so far. "

With recruiting individuals, companies and associations who is utilizing Internet, releasing information and making society in western Harima area, we have introduced their activity.

Contents : The fair which used a personal computer.
With the " Multimedia goldfish spooning-up game" and "the eel fishing game" which anyone can enjoy easily, people were able to feel a traditional fair.
The one who have gotten a lot of points with the game in the time received traditional toys and/or sweets .

The informations of "Harima multi-media school Culture Festival" was sent to the all self-governing body and the CATV bureaus , utilizing the Hyogo Satellite Communication Network.
