8) Multi-media experimental corner

 


  For the visitors of the Harima Science Garden City, the Multi-media experimental corner was putted at the Center for Advanced Science & Technology HYOGO (CAST) : the Information Technology Room, in order to have experience Internet with free access and studying of the personal computer. It was opened from 8/1/1997 to 10/31/1997 3 months without close.


There was supports for the Multi-media experimental corner from students of the department of the science of the Prefectural Institute of Technology of Himeji .

They had explained kindly the way of the handling of the peripherals, the way of the connection to the Internet, the experiment of the multimedia and so on.

During this term, it was very prosperous like the number of the participants were 4855 and it was popularity by the participants to have the multimedia experience for the individual and family and the personal computer seminar of the group.

* Those software (listed above) were developed as "Earthquake area advanced business promotion system development experimental project" which is operating by Hanshin-Awaji Business Revival Promoting Association ordered by the Information Handling Promotion Association (IPA) which is the sub organization of the government and it was approved to use by the Hanshin-Awaji Hanshin-Awaji Business Revival Promoting Association.

 


  In this multi-media experiment corner, the environment to communicating with TV-Conference style was made and connected to the BBCC experiment room, Osaka Industry University, Osaka Umeda Sky Building Garden in the sky and Kyoto Sonobe-cho Information Center by B-ISDN experimental network with the Cooperation of the New Generation Communication Experiment Conference (BBCC) of the Keihanna Plaza Lab, Kyoto Soraku-gun Seika-cho. And the system had been appealed for supporting being information-oriented for the local area with the remote educating application examination and open display of the system all day.
