Hiyoshi Shrine

Ooyama-kui-no-mikoto(who is the god of mountains) is enshrined in Hiyoshi Shrine. The festival day is held on October 19th. Once of every several years , they play Shishimai dance (the ritual dance with rion mask) there. It was 150 or 160 years ago when the dance was began to performed. The court dance and music has a characteristic of Noda city's, 90 persons(including children and adults) wear Jinbaori(coats), Tekko(gloves) , Kyahan(leggings) , Tabi(socks). And they put on Otafuku masks and play with drums and clappers in front of the shrine and some places in the village.
