Yakushi Shrine in Handa

Yakushi-ruriko Buddha is enshirined in Handa's Yakushi Shrine. The Buddha is one of the three buddhas made of one tree. It was respected by Wakizaka(the feudal load of the Tatsuno Clan). On the first Day of the Ox in August, they hold a memorial service for it. In the morning of that day,they prepare a bath using water of the well there. They say that it is a medical bath , so this custom has been kept.
