Japanese here

Kanzaki-cho is the northernmost town of Kanzaki district.

Our school is located in a rich greenery forest, about 14km upstream
the Ochi River, a tributary of the Ichi River.

We have the only wooden schoolhouse in our district.

The solid topographical map, made by pupils in the 5th grade in 1995,
shows the condition of our school district.

We can enjoy a snow scene in winter.
Our wooden schoolhouse looks very nice in snow.

This electric scoreboard, made by pupils in the 6th grade in 1995,
shows the ways and distance to our school.
Children living in the farthest place walk 4.2km to school every day.

We got a new swimming pool this year, but it is more enjoyable to swim in the river.

Having abundant nature around here, we are going to send various pieces of information.
You can certainly enjoy them.

In Making Home-Page
Ochidani-Daiichi Elementary School
Goro Taiko

Children have a lot of ideas. They are so active as to collect various pieces of material.
However, some or them are so minor that I cannot help leaving them out in view of the necessity for putting them on home-page, though personally I love such information.
The pupils can understand what they can do by internet.
As to using a digital camera, they seem to be far more interested inremaking photos into printed seals than in using them in home-page.
It is necessary for children to give local news to people in our town.
Therefore, I keep any information as the precious database.
We have to look for the information worth while to open to the public.
