The Okawachi hydro-electric power plant

We have two dams in Hase. Ota Dam the upper, and Hase Dam the lower. Generating electricity by a pump method which pumps water up to the upper dam at night and supplies electricity at daytime when the consumption goes up. This hydro-electric power plant here is regarded as the biggest one in Japan as a pump method one.

If you're interested in these dams, why don't you visit the building with a green triangular roof by the Hase Dam. It's the "L-Village Okawachi". It's open free, both of adults and children can enjoy. Bus tours to see inside the dam is also served. Please come and see the dynamos running inside the dam where the air is cool and pleasant.
