The area around Ichikawa River

Sankakuiwa (the triangular rock)

This is the Sankakuiwa, the triangular rock. People come here for camping and barbecues from Kobe City and Himeji City by cars. You can dive into water from this rock. There is another triangle-shape rock from which you can dive. Water runs deep and abounds with many small river fishes such as trout and ayu‚“ (sweetfish). It's really an exciting place. (Eri Maeshima)

Yuseki

This is the place called "Yuseki". We often swim here, for it's near from our homes and not too deep nor too shallow for swimming. We never get weary of swimming here with seeing ayus and carp.
In Aug. many people come from Kobe City and Himeji City. I like to enjoy barbecues with my family. Clean water and comfortable sounds of the stream make our outdoor lunch more delicious. (Tomohito Houjou)

Inumigawa River ( the tributary river of Ichikawa River )

You can see thousands of fireflies at Inumigawa River from the end of June to the beginning of July. Many fireflies fly especially around the Hotarubashi (Fireflies Bridge). Lots of people come out from cities for watching them.
Fishers come for released ayus (sweetfish) in summer. Inumigawa River is about 7km long, a branch from Ichikawa River, and amagos are bred in Kawakami, the upper part of the river. The famous Okawachi Dam was built in the middle of this clean river. (Yasuyuki Onaka)
